International Childhood Cancer Day

Join us on Saturday, February 15th at 10am, as part of International Childhood Cancer Day #ICCD, for a ceremony to raise the Childhood Cancer Flag at Ottawa City Hall to proclaim this special day in the City of Ottawa. This 24th annual #ICCD event is a global collaborative campaign of Candlelighters Ottawa, local members of Childhood Cancer International, the worlds’ largest cancer parents’ organization.

Algonquin’s Event Management – Fundraising Events

Candlelighters is very pleased to be working with the students at Algonquin College’s Event Management program. The students together in groups are working hard to plan five fundraising events coming up in March. Candlelighters along with the Dave Smith Youth Treatment Centre and the Ottawa Riverkeeper are fortunate to benefit from the proceeds. Please consider attending an upcoming fundraiser.

Nokia Inside Ride

Nokia and Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation are teaming up again on May 14, 2020 for the 13th incredible year of The Inside Ride.​ This is the Flagship event in the Nokia Powering The Inside Ride event series in the National Capital Region.

The Inside Ride is produced by Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation and is Canada’s first indoor cycling challenge and fundraising event dedicated to raising money in support of children with cancer and their families.

Lemonade Standemonium

Save the date: Saturday, June 6th, 2020: A fun-filled fundraiser where kids host lemonade stands in their neighbourhoods and put the squeeze on cancer.

Kids all across the city will be sporting bright yellow t-shirts and selling lemonade to support important cancer care programs at the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation and Candlelighters.
