How other Candlelighters initiatives are helping
Refuse2Lose – a fundraising group founded by Dev Jude and Ilana Shore; inspired by Bryce Jude who battled a rare form of leukemia for almost 3 years before passing away in September 2012.
Friends and family who supported the Jude family through Bryce’s journey continue to raise funds in support of Candlelighters Suite Seats Program; enabling children fighting cancer (and their families) to escape the stress of their day-to-day lives and safely experience the thrill and excitement of an Ottawa Senators game, a concert or one of the other many entertaining events that take place at Canadian Tire Centre.
Tori’s Helping Hand
Tori’s Helping Hand is a Candlelighters program that provides funding for families coping with palliative care for their child. Funds are available for travel to other treatment centres. The fund is also applicable for families dealing with bereavement.
Jenna’s Memorial Fund
Jenna’s Memorial Fund helps families experiencing financial distress as a result of their child’s illness. Donations to Jenna’s Memorial Fund go directly to the Patient Amenities Program. This program helps cover out-of-pocket expenses such as groceries and utilities as well as covering medications not covered by OHIP or insurance plans. Funds raised support Candlelighters initiatives as well.
Donate at Car Canada
Your donated car, truck, RV, boat, motorcycle or other vehicle can help Candlelighters out. Your car or other vehicle will be recycled or sold at auction (depending on condition, age and location). And Candlelighters benefits. Candlelighters gets the net proceeds from the sale of your car. And you get a tax receipt. It’s that simple. Donate Now at www.donatecar.ca.
Your donation helps us enrich the lives of children and their families and provide the support they need while coping with cancer.
