Refuse2Lose – a fundraising group founded by Dev Jude and Ilana Shore; inspired by Bryce Jude who battled a rare form of leukemia for almost 3 years before passing away in September 2012.
Friends and family who supported the Jude family through Bryce’s journey continue to raise funds in support of Candlelighters Suite Seats Program; enabling children fighting cancer and their families to experience the thrill and excitement of an Ottawa Senators game, a concert at Canadian Tire Centre.
Tori’s Helping Hand – is a Candlelighters program that provides funding for families coping with palliative care for their child. Funds are available for travel to other treatment centres. The fund is also applicable for families dealing with bereavement. The money for palliative children will help families provide much needed comfort in their child’s last days.
Jenna’s Memorial Fund helps families experiencing financial distress as a result of their child’s illness. Donations to Jenna’s Memorial Fund go directly to the Patient Amenities Program. This program helps cover out-of-pocket expenses such as groceries and utilities as well as covering medications not covered by OHIP or insurance plans. Funds raised support Candlelighters initiatives as well.
